Silence

It's not an album title.

I woke up with a blinding migraine this morning. The type where the pressure builds up and it feels like your eyeballs are about to burst.

So I wrote out some lesson plans, booked a sick day, and went back to bed.

I'm worried what we will do if someone in the house gets COVID. Just a morning of me being out of commission made things difficult. My husband had to drop our daughter off with my parents for the day which is usually my job because his work day starts earlier than mine does. None of the dishes have been put away, the kitchen is a mess, the dog hasn't been walked.

So what happens if we're both sick and can't rely on grandparents for childcare? Who takes care of the kid - the house - the dog?

This is my new worry.
